TRAIL DANCE FILM FESTIVAL
DUNCAN, OK • www.traildancefilmfestival.com • “Strange” and “cool” aren’t always interchangeable terms. But when TDFF president Anthony Foreman asks, “Where else can you walk right in the middle of a wild west shootout, have a world famous trick-roper twirl a lasso over your head, dance to live rock ‘n’ roll music with a wild west town backdrop and see some of the finest independent films ever produced right in the same facility?” this is clearly one place where the two words converge.
The Trail Dance Film Festival is the perfect opportunity for independent filmmakers to present their work to a supportive audience ... in a competitive environment which rewards creativity and excellence in a variety of industry specific pursuits. In addition to the Golden Drover Awards, the festival offers a day of children based programming, a scholarship awarded to the winning high school entry, and a western theme environment unlike any other film festival on the planet.
Trail Dance 2010 will be held January 22-24th at the recently renovated Jack A. Maurer Convention Center (Located within the Simmons Center) and the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center (Named in April 2009 as one of the Top 10 Western Museums in the United States). The Chisholm Trail Heritage Center has just been outfitted with a new Christie HD DLP Projector and HD/Blu-Ray equipment making for an outstanding screening venue.
Trail Dance will kick off the 2010 festival with the 4th Annual "Where the Beer and the Buffalo Roam" meet-and-greet and culminate with the Golden Drover Awards Show.
Don't miss the event named in 2008 as one of Movie Maker Magazine's Top 25 Film Festivals worth the fee!
